Seabranch Preserve State Park is located in eastern Martin County about 10 miles south of Stuart, Florida. The Park contains over 900 acres of sand pine scrub, scrubby flat woods, freshwater bay gall wetland, and mangrove dominated tidal swamp. Of particular importance is the sand pine scrub community, a biological community so rare that it is designated "globally imperiled". The sand pine scrub community at Seabranch is one of the few remaining scrubs of significant size on the southeastern coast.
